Heather is a writer of upmarket fiction—drawn to the emotional weight of secrets, the complexity of relationships, and the quiet tension that lives beneath the surface of ordinary lives. Her work explores where love and danger intersect, where memory blurs into truth, and where characters are forced to confront what they’ve spent years trying to outrun.

She studied under many authors and mentors at the University of Iowa and in 2008 earned her Bachelors in English with a Creative Writing focus.​​​​ She began writing when she was in third grade—an attempt to tell Goldilocks’ side of the story—and fell in love with the process. Digging into character and motivation and dialogue, gave her energy beyond compare and continues to drive her daily.

While she's currently querying her debut manuscript, she's hard at work on new projects that follow the same thread: stories that linger and demand to be told.
